Refining
Refining precious metals such as scrap gold and silver,
scrap Jewellery, or even high-grade
gold doré requires a chemical process that eliminates
unwanted materials and purifies the
output, separating valuable gold from other “waste”
materials.
This task is the responsibility of our Refineries. Our
state-of-the-art refining facility and the
use of cutting-edge technology, machinery and the
professionalism of our employees ensure

Assaying
Tigris Gold operates a state-of-the-art testing
laboratory. Our testing methods are accredited
to ISO/IEC 17025 standards. We specialize in traditional
Fire Assay Method, also known as
the Cupellation Method, to determine the concentration
of Gold.
Assaying monitors the quality of the metal throughout
the refining process, determining the
fineness of gold and silver. Tigris Gold’s assaying
technology includes traditional fire assay
as well as spectrometry.
All material arriving at the refinery, whether doré or
scrap, is melted and samples are taken.
As a rule, each sample is divided into three parts, one
for our customer, one for ourselves and
one for arbitration, whenever deemed necessary.
Smelting
Our smelting department plays an important role in the
manufacturing process by either
melting fine metal into bars or producing grains from
scrap metal for the use of our refinery.
Smelting is a critical step in almost all of the
services offered by Tigris Gold, so this
department is central to our daily operations.
Minting
To complement refining and smelting, Tigris Gold also
engages in its own die making. The Die Making &
Minting division is equipped with state-of-the-art
machinery and uses cutting-edge technology to produce
coins, medals, or other customized products.

Trading
Tigris Gold Refinery offers wholesale bullion to
Jewellery companies and to other clients
who are looking to purchase larger amounts of Bullion
for delivery. Gold Silver, Platinum
and Palladium are available in Wholesale amounts,
including Large Bar, Kilo Bar, TT bars
etc
